Mexican Anyone?--Sombrero Hat

I had a request to do a sombrero hat for someone's 30th birthday.  This was a lot of fun. The peppers are made of fondant. The cake is vanilla with chocolate icing.

Special 16th Birthday

This was a really fun cake for me.  A friend's daughter was turning 16 and she found this picture on the web and asked if I could replicate it.  Well here is my attempt.  She LOVED it.

Weddings

Here are a few pictures from some wedding I've done recently.  When I started this I said I was NOT going to do weddings.  It was just too much while trying to work also.  Well, I got talked into it.  Hope you enjoy.

Package Cake

This was a beautiful cake I thought once it was put together. I used fondant for the circles and a real bow. I used my fondant cutter to make the "seam" in the buttercream.

Pokemon

Well it never ceases to amaze me the characters that come back around in popularity. I had a request recently for Pokemon. The client said her little boy just loves him. She ordered cupcakes, a small cake and a sheet cake for different events for her son's 5th birthday. Here are pictures from each.

Jerry's 50th Birthday

My friend Jerry turned 50 in August and he also graduated from War College in Virginia after about 3 grueling years of labor-intensive work! So his wife wanted to give him a very special birthday this year and have a dual celebration. She had asked me several months ago to be thinking about a cake and so I started looking at some pictures and trying to think of something special to do for him. I think it turned out great!
